Building engineer SBR and owner, responsible for technological consulting at Ekorrit.
Rolf’s primary experience as a building engineer has been within building and plant facilities. He has, prior to starting Ekorrit, a professional background in both the public and private sectors.
Ekorrit has, throughout the years, been engaged in various engineering and construction projects; from project-headed commissions to diverse business corporations within the areas of road and railway engineering projects, design of VA systems, defense facilities, inspections, etc.
More recently, the development of wind farms throughout Sweden has become the main focus for Ekorrit. In addition to the construction of some smaller wind farms, the company has been contracted on behalf of NW Nordic Windpower AB / RES Ltd’s to act as manager in the construction of the Havsnäs Wind Farm. The facility is based in northern Jämtland and is today the largest land-based park.
Today, Rolf works primarily as project manager in the construction of the Sjisjka Wind Farm for Jemtska AB, Östersund. Located in the foothills just south of Kiruna, the project includes placing 30 wind turbines off-road and has been described as Europe’s largest wind-power challenge, partly due to the fact that all transports are made by train and not to mention, the geographical location of the wind farm. The plant was started in the spring of 2011 and is estimated to be up and running Autumn 2012.
At Ekorrit, we have extensive experience and pride ourselves in identifying with our clients, visualizing their perspective and resolving the problems that may arise along the road. As head of major projects, we strive to always be one step ahead, using good practices and always provide explicit information to our customers. In doing so we minimize any distractions in a process where many people participate.
In his earlier years, Rolf professed to be a well-aimed shot on the ice; however, these days, his aim has switched to a much larger target…moose. He might even take on a black piste now and then.
